| Q: |
Are there specific hardware requirements for these visualization techniques? |
| A: |
Smooth interactive camera movement in large Microstation files will require high-end video display capabilities. The shaded rendering modes in Microstation will also require good video performance. The key is to make sure you are using the latest drivers for the video card, and using any custom drivers designed for Microstation.

| Q: |
Are there any texture maps or 3D models available for free? |
| A: |
By browsing websites geared towards the 3D visualization and gaming communities, you can often find sites that offer free content. The quality will be reflective of what they cost however. |
| Q: |
I get an error referring to 3D files when I try to use the 3D Modeling Tools ? |
| A: |
Most of the Geopak 3D Modeling and DTM Tools require that a 3D Microstation file be open before using the tool. Either open the default Microstation 3DSeed files, or use the FLHD files set up for Imperial or Metric units. The locations for these files should be available on each office's Design Resources web page. |
| Q: |
How do I get Microstation to keep camera views ? |
| A: |
Camera views will not be saved from session to session unless you save file settings (FILE>SAVE SETTINGS) or save the views (UTILITY/SAVED VIEWS). Saving the views is the safest method as they will be saved with the file and can be re-applied later. |
